Author Biography

  • Laura Galián, University of Murcia, Spain

    Laura Galián is Lecturer of Arab and Islamic Studies at Universidad de Murcia. She holds a PhD from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and was a postdoctoral researcher at European H2020 project "RETOPEA: Religious Toleration and Peace" at the Universidad de Granada. Her research interests and publications deal with the history of concepts and history of ideas in the Middle East and North Africa as well as decolonization theories. Her book, Colonialism, Transnationalism and Anarchism in the South of the Mediterranean, was published in 2020 (Palgrave McMillan), and she is currently the IP of the research project “Emancipatory Concepts in the Mediterranean – Memory, Translation and Transit in their Diachrony," granted by the Agencia Estatal de Investigación in Spain and e EU Feder Funds.
