Author Biography

Inaash Islam, Saint Michael's College

Inaash Islam is Assistant Professor of Sociology at Saint Michael’s College. Her work examines the post-9/11 implications of anti-Muslim racism, gendered embodiment practices, Islamic feminism, and anti-Black racism in the lives of diasporic Muslim women and Black Muslims in America. She has a forthcoming co-authored book with Polity Press entitled A Global Racial Enemy: Muslims and 21st-Century Racism and has published work in Du Bois ReviewFeminist Formations, and the Journal of Arab and Muslim Media Research.
